Aly & AJ, known briefly as 78violet (pronounced: "seventy-eight violet"), are an American pop duo that consists of sisters Aly Michalka and AJ Michalka. Most of the songs were written by the two sisters, and their mother, Carrie Michalka, who managed the band.
