Alpha Du Centaure

Alpha Du Centaure = "Alpha Centauri" in English. This French fusion outfit existed at least since 1972, and was one of the bands to sign "Front de Libération de la Rock-Music" manifesto in the autumn of that year. The band originally featured guitarist Jean-Pierre Richard, drummer Gilles Robert, plus others, and went through numerous line-up changes during their 7+ year existence. They are only known to have released one album. Important note: The information in the book LA DISCOGRAPHIE DU ROCK FRANÇAIS and in the Paisley Press CD release is incorrect, as no members of the band were ever with Komintern.
