Alex Machacek (born 1 July 1972 in Tulln an der Donau, Austria) is a jazz fusion guitarist who was born and raised in Austria and moved to Los Angeles, California USA in 2004. He studied jazz guitar and jazz education at the Conservatory in Vienna and completed two semesters at the Berklee College of Music, Boston, USA.
In 2007, he was a founding member of UKZ with Eddie Jobson and Trey Gunn. He has also played with Mc Hacek, BPM (Terry Bozzio / Gerald Preinfalk / Alex Machacek), Planet X, the Virgil Donati Band, Brand X and UK.
