    Chilean-French film director, producer, composer, actor and author of books and comics, born February 17, 1929 in Tocopilla, Chile. His parents were of Jewish-Ukrainian and Polish descent. He now lives in Paris, France. His films include "El Topo", "The Holy Mountain" and "Santa Sangre".

    He has five children: his eldest son Brontis, an actor and father of the fashion model and singer Alma Jodorowsky, and together with his first wife Valerie Jodorowsky: Axel Jodorowsky, Teo, Eugenia and Adan Jodorowsky.
