Albert Ayler (born July 13, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio (USA), died November 1970) was an American avant-garde jazz saxophonist, singer and composer, the older brother of Donald Ayler. On November 25, 1970, his body was found floating in the East River, at the foot of Congress Street Pier, in Brooklyn, New York (USA).
