Eritrean-Swedish singer and songwriter Adiam was born in Uppsala, Sweden. At the age of 16, Adiam dropped out of high-school, left home, and started working two years later as a recording studio receptionist at Stockholm’s renown Cosmos Studio. Here, Adiam took her first steps as a vocalist and songwriter for a number of demo recordings which led to a contract with Razzia Records. Together with producer/rapper Thomas Rusiak, Adiam, embarked on her own musical project under her full name „Adiam Dymott“. Her debut single „Miss You“ hit the Swedish Top Ten in 2009, followed shortly by the release of her first album. Shortly after, Adiam signed with Universal, and collaborated on a number of projects within the Stockholm hip hop music scene. Backed by her label Adiam relocated to Berlin in 2012.
