Adam Fischer

Ádám Fischer (b. 1949, Budapest, Hungary) is the Chief Conductor of the [a7225249] and Principal Conductor of the Düsseldorfer Symphoniker.

Fischer is the founder and honorary director of the Austro-Hungarian Haydn Orchestra, now the Haydn Philharmonie. He formed the orchestra in 1987 to perform the works of Joseph Haydn where the composer lived and worked. The orchestra consists of some of the finest musicians from Austria and Hungary. Recording at the Esterházy Palace in Eisenstadt, Austria, the Orchestr recorded all of Joseph Haydn's 104 symphonies on Nimbus Records. The project was completed in 2001.

Son of Fischer Sándor, older brother of [url=https://www.discogs.com/artist/855053]Iván Fischer[/url], and cousin of György Fischer.
