60ft Dolls

Rock trio from Newport, South Wales, in the style of punk / pub garage rock / power pop with a dash of mod. Their songs and approach embodied elements of The Jam and Dr. Feelgood, classic UK stripped-down guitar rock. Mike Cole and Richard Parfitt were originally introduced to each other in 1992 by Donna Matthews (later of [a=Elastica (2)]), who was dating Cole at the time while also working at a pizza restaurant with Parfitt. The group released two albums in the mid-nineties and supported the Sex Pistols at that group's comeback gig in Finsbury Park in 1996 before splitting in 1998.
