Μάκης Μάτσας

Μάκης Μάτσας (Makis Matsas) (Born on the late 1930s in Athens, Greece) is one of the most best-known music executives in Greece.

Chairman of Minos-EMI from October 1990. After his retirement in 2003, he was succeeded by [a=Κώστας Μπουρμάς]. He remained in the company as Chairman of the Board.
Married to [a=Ρούλα Μάτσα] with whom they have a daughter (Margarita Matsa, CEO of Minos-EMI S.A.) and a son (Minos Matsas).

Co-founder of the pioneer Greek record company Μίνως Μάτσας & Υιός Α.Ε. (with his father [a=Μίνως Μάτσας]) in November 1960 and later of the labels Μίνως Μάτσας & Υιός Α.Ε. (December 1968) and Μίνως Μάτσας & Υιός Α.Ε. (end of 1960s).
Minos-EMI was formed after the merge of EMIAL (Greek EMI joint venture) and Minos (2).

Before launching the Minos (2) label, Μίνως Μάτσας & Υιός Α.Ε. was Greek exclusive distributor of Odeon and Parlophone.
